What I Learned About Minimalist Packing

What I Learned About Minimalist Packing

Minimal packing for 2 weeks of international travel is a lot more difficult than I thought it would be, however, I am so glad I challenged myself. I found myself not well prepared for the unseasonably hot and humid weather. Additionally, I needed an umbrella. All that being said, I would give myself a B+. Below summarizes what I felt I did well and what I could have improved. Hopefully, my lessons will help guide you in your future minimalist international packing.

Positives

1. I wore 12 of the 15 items I brought

2. My oversized white shirt #9 was my go-to piece

3. My sports bras and running shorts got double-time

4. Receiving a free program t-shirt helped stretch my warm-weather outfits

5. Having one handbag and one pair of athletic shoes for comfort worked well

6. Taking different sunglasses are always a great way to mix your looks up without taking up too much space

Room for Improvement

1. Check, double check the weather

2. Bring an umbrella

3. If you don't wear it at home, you will not wear it traveling #10

4. Even with laundry facilities, I still feel I needed another short set. I bought a pair of yellow shorts and white sport top

5. I didn't need to bring as many evening (fancier) items

 Some of My Outfits

I was so excited when I came upon Maki Design Studio - talk about another fate in Korea. I found a beautiful tote bag and my newest favorite top.

Like with all things in life, practicing consistency tends to yield better results over time. I will take my minimalist packing lessons and apply them to my upcoming trip to Berlin, Germany. . .

Designing your best life,
